Taylor Public Library Policy
- Patrons of the Taylor Public Library must be in good standing to use the Library computers.
- Any youth under the age of sixteen (16) must have permission from a parent or guardian.
- Internet use is free, with the following exceptions:
- A fee of $.25 per page for printing.
- Students may print up to 25 (twenty-five) sheets for homework or projects at no charge.
- Duration of computer use will be in one-hour increments and can be extended at the discretion of the staff.
- Classrooms or groups must provide at least twenty-four (24) hours advance notice. The staff reserves the right to restrict groups to one machine.
- Our Internet use policy places the responsibility for information access to the Internet on the patron. We will not be held responsible for the content or accuracy of information available to patrons.
- Copying or downloading information from the Internet may be in violation of copyright laws.
- The computers are intended to access the Internet with the software provided. At no time is it appropriate to use personal software. To do so will result in suspension of computer privileges.
- Criminal law forbids the display or dissemination of hate literature, child pornography, illicit drug literature or obscene material. Any infringement or violation of these laws will be reported to appropriate legal authorities and will result in immediate suspension of all privileges at the Taylor Public Library.
- The Taylor Public Library also reserves the right to restrict the use of computers for any other violations of library rules.
