Library Trustees Wanted

Did you know… this library is directed by a five member library board which consists of four members from the community and one member from Council?

We are guided by legislation created by the BC Provincial Library Branch called the “Library Act” and a Provincial Strategic Plan for Libraries.

Our Board is the decision maker for the library creating its own policies and procedures for day to day operations of the library. Funding comes from Provincial grants and a budget allowance from the District of Taylor.

Are you interested? We are seeking applicants for one or two-year terms (some exceptions apply). There are approximately 10 (ten) meetings per year (usually none for July or August) and the length of the meetings normally run from 1 to 11/2 hours in length.

If you would like to join us, please submit a letter of interest to the Library or drop one off at the District Office. Submissions to be received by Thursday, February 25, 2021. Appointments to the Board are approved by District Council (as directed in the Library Act).
